The Privacy Policy of the Apartment Association California Southern Cities (AACSC) is to notify you how personal and non-personal information is gathered and used when you visit our web site. AACSC reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time and will notify visitors to the web site when changes occur.

AACSC does not collect personal information about you unless you specifically and purposely provide such information to us. This information may be collected when you complete a form requesting information from us or have purchased a product. It may also be collected should you disclose personally identifiable information on job postings, discussion forums, etc.

It is our goal to only collect personal information necessary for the specific purpose for which you provided it. Such information may include your name, name of business or organization, address, telephone number, fax number, and email address.

How Your Personal information is used

Personal information provided by filling in a form will be used only for the purpose of that request or purchase, unless you specifically provide with your consent for additional purposes. Non-personal information may be extracted or compiled in aggregate from the information we collect to produce reports and statistics for AACSC’s internal use only. No personally identifiable information will be included in these reports or statistics. Your personal information is kept strictly confidential and anonymous.

“Cookies” and Password-protected Services

The password system employed on the AACSC web site uses cookies. A “cookie” is a small file that our web server places on the hard drive of your computer when you log on to a members-only area of the web site. Your hard drive cannot be damaged by cookies, nor can they read information on a user’s hard drive. It does not contain any personal information. Its purpose is to allow our server to identify you as having successfully logged in. As you access password-protected pages during your session, it will therefore not be necessary to reenter the password each time. We do not use cookies to monitor which web pages you visit during your session.
