Christine Baran is of Counsel in the Irvine offices of Fisher & Phillips. Her practice includes defending employment related disputes related to claims of sexual harassment, workplace violence and wrongful termination. In addition, Christine represents commercial land owners and property management companies in the defense of claims concerning discrimination on housing issues under the Fair Employment and Housing Act, The Unruh Act, the Civil Rights Act, Unfair Business Practices and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). She counsels commercial land owners and property management companies on all aspects of fair housing laws, the development of preventive policies and procedures to avoid fair housing claims and is actively involved with the Apartment Association, California Southern Cities, providing seminars on Fair Housing laws and practices.

Our featured speaker is Dennis Block from the Law Firm of Dennis P. Block & Associates. The Law Firm of Dennis P. Block & Associates is a law firm specializing in tenant eviction. Mr. Block received his Bachelor degree from California State University, Northridge and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Whittier College, School of Law. Mr. Block is an authority in the field of Landlord/Tenant and foreclosure law and conducts numerous seminars for both landlords and fellow attorneys. He is also a rental property owner himself.

Harry Erickson has been a police officer for over 17 years and a security consultant for CPTED Security.
Long Beach Police Service Assistant John Houck has been working for the Department for almost 4 years. Prior to that, John worked in the business industry for 5 years and is a 10-year Army veteran, having served in Operation Desert Storm. John is assigned to the Crime Prevention Unit of the Community Relations Division.

RICHARD IVAR RYDSTROM
Richard is an attorney with the Newport Beach-based law firm of O'Connell & Rydstrom, LLP. He focuses his work on businesses law, litigation, trusts, estates, corporate law, limited liability, corporations and limited partnerships. Comprehensive Property Review is a joint venture that he oversees.
In addition, he is active on both the local and national scene and is just returning from meetings with federal legislators and agency executives in Washington D.C. and will present tax updates during his seminar. He attended Long Island University, Cambridge University and Western State University for his JD. He is a member of the Los Angeles County, Indiana State and American Bar associations, State Bar of California and the Association of Trial Lawyers.
