Advocacy

AACSC continually fights to maintain private property rights of owners.

Membership provides free advocacy to represent owners at city, county, state and federal levels.
Through our lobbying activities in Sacramento, AACSC has saved owners thousands of dollars in proposed legislative and regulatory processes and fees. In 2002 alone, our members saved $100 million from proposed legislation. In 2001 our efforts stopped $30 million in costs from being assessed to our owners. Last year, savings to the rental housing industry were incalculable.
On the local level, we defeated rent control in Huntington Park and opened the trash hauling process in Hawthorne, reducing fees for property owners by 30 percent. AACSC was also involved in stopping Pasadena rent control initiatives and supported Santa Monica rental housing owners with a letter brief to the California Supreme Court.
Owner input is reflected in new relocation ordinances and efforts to stop mandatory inclusionary zoning.

IPPAC - Income Property Owners

IPPAC
Income Property Owners Political Action Committee

What Is IPPAC?

IPPAC are the initials of a political action committee for the rental housing industry:  Income Property Owners Political Action Committee.

Simply put, IPPAC raises money to help elect or defeat candidates running for political office or to support issues facing owners e.g. rent control, property tax increases and eminent domain reform.

Since government today determines the success or failure of your rental business by imposing fees, fines and regulations, you need to participate in the process.  You are a major stakeholder!

By electing fair-minded individuals who understand the role of housing in the economy, we can ensure a prosperous rental housing climate—one that is positive for both owners and residents.

What Is At Stake?

Your rental investments and, possibly, your life savings!

What Can I Do?

By contributing to IPPAC you are taking the first step in the journey of protecting private property rights and ensuring the future viability of the rental housing industry in California.  You will be part of a dynamic leadership team that works to right the injustices government has historically slapped upon owners!
