A: Yes. As with a three-day notice, the calculation time for a thirty- or sixty-day notice excludes the date of service of the notice. The following day is day one, counting out thirty, or sixty, consecutive calendar days. The tenant must vacate on the thirtieth, or the sixtieth day.

If however, the last day falls on a weekend or holiday the tenant has until the following business day to vacate the premises. A complaint for unlawful detainer may not be filed until the next business day after the notice has expired.
