CREDIT REPORTING ACT
On December 1, 2004, important
changes to the Fair Credit Reporting Act went
into effect. This requires the Apartment Association
California Southern Cities to exercise greater
diligence to ensure that only those members
who have a permissible purpose to obtain credit
reports are authorized to do so, and to maintain
appropriate documentation from each customer
verifying that permissible purpose.
